Bill Clinton strikes a blow to his legacy that President Bush has been trying to give him over the past 5 years.
It is clear who is the bigger and better man and it is certainly not Bill (Cigar) Clinton. For all that President Bush has been trying to do to give this guy a legacy, he has to go and do some foolish and un-presidential screed like this.
Breaking with tradition under which US presidents mute criticisms of their successors, Clinton said the Bush administration had decided to invade Iraq “virtually alone and before UN inspections were completed, with no real urgency, no evidence that there were weapons of mass destruction.”
Now he is certainly free to break from tradition and express whatever he wants. Tradition certainly has not stopped Jimmy ‘The Rabbit’ Carter from mouthing off some rather ridiculous blather. So go ahead and do your thang Mr. Clinton. Just don’t start crying about the comments that come back and bite you in the Hoo-Haa.
Now it seems that the Democrat party, with the help of Bubba, are starting to pound the final nail in the coffin that buries the party. Thats fine with me. Hopefully it will bring about a party that is willing to engage in a meaningful debate of the issues and not merely resort to smear tactics because nothing they have can compete with the ideas of the modern day conservative movement.
Hey, just my thoughts, that the First Amendment gives ALSO to me, to express.
