I am betting on Harriet Miers and I trust in the President’s judgment. If he likes her and he certainly knows her better than I do, then I trust his judgment. Unlike his father who evidently trusted his advisor’s on Justice Souter and did not actually know him. The President knows Harriet Miers and is staking his reputation on her.
For all of those other bloggers, journalists, and just plain ol folks like me that have raised many objections about Harriet Miers, I say, I respect your opinions and taken them in full. I also of course respectfully disagree.
Michelle Malkin is UTTERLY UNDERWHELMED and has a MESSAGE TO THE WHITE HOUSE. The guys at Power Line Blog consider the nomination of Harriet Miers A Disappointment and even More on Miers. Those fine folks over at Red State also consider Harriet Miers — A Profound Disappointment and also promoted a diary entry for a different perspective. The Gay Patriot at his site has a consideration of SCOTUS Nominee Harriet Miers. Glenn Reynolds, The Instapundit, has a very exhaustive round-up as he is always good at putting together in times like these of different reactions from around the blogosphere. Also Mark A. Kilmer has a take of Between Gonzales and Miers.
In the end it is my prediction that the President will once again be mis-underestimated and will be appreciated for his judgment once again.
