So I popped over to Gay Patriot and Dan (Gay Patriot West) has a very
good post on the Flaming Wilson Affair. That is what I am calling it anyway. The
thing that stood out the most was the, hence the post title, Flaming Rampant Speculation.
It seems that everyone is speculating on what Patrick Fitzgerald will be saying and
doing and he hasn’t said a word.
Reading these latest articles, only one thing seems clear: while some lawyers
close to the case seem eager for Fitzgerald to indict, the special prosecutor himself
has not yet made up his mind whether to bring indictments. From what we know, it seems
increasingly likely that if Fitzgerald brings any charges, they will not be related
to the alleged crime he was hired to investigate, but to how certain White House officials
handled the investigation.
Now the thing that bothers me the most is that because if nothing can be proven
for the reason the investigation was ordered, leaking the name of a under cover CIA
agent, they are now going to pull a Martha Stewart and try and charge for other
crimes.
We of course have to wait and see if Fitzgerald will ever say or do anything.
