The Cheeseburger Bill

The House of Representatives pass a bill today that will prevent class action lawsuits
against restaurants, like fast food joints, from people wanting to blame
them for their ‘fat ass’.

It is about time!

Here’s the story

Liberal groups say stupid stuff like this:

Critics of the bill contend that a better way to make people responsible for how
they eat is to require nutrition information on menus and menu boards.

You can require all of the information you want. If they were interested in their
health they probably would not be eating fast food. How long have we been told
that fast food is not the most healthy. How much more information do we need? What
planet are are these critics from.

Most restaurants already provide nutritional information because of crazy liberal
legislation previously passed. What? do they want to setup training classes for people
to learn how to eat? Provide people with personal aides to advise of nutritional facts
in the food they eat.

Then their is a comment from this guy:

“But of course this silly legislative effort has nothing to do with encouraging
personal responsibility and everything to do with pleasing a powerful and politically
connected industry,” said Michael Jacobson, director of the Washington-based Center
for Science in the Public Interest.

This has got to be a liberal. It is all about personal responsibility.

And that is really what this bill is all about. Personal responsibility! Liberals
think they should be in charge of your personal responsibility because you are too
stupid. What this of course boils down to, is that it is better to have conservatives
in office to pass bills like this, than to give a liberal another chance to give people
an excuse not to take care of themselves while taking all of your money in taxes.
