Christopher Columbus
I learned more about Christopher Columbus tonight than I ever knew. I was working
with my third grader son helping him write a biography on the fine man.
Say what you will about the man.
Yes, he did some bad things.
Don’t we all have a few things in our closets?
He did have the brass to sail uncharted waters to do what he did and he did it. Yes
the Vikings did it first that we know of. But he did make records of it that
the Vikings did not. Yes he discovered land that was inhabited by other men. But I
am just not going to get all caught in technicalities.
For goodness sake, it was just a 3rd graders biography.
