With congressional approval ratings at all time lows, these no-performing, bickering, haggling, slacker, rejects could not make it in the real world congress people actually have the audacity to consider giving themselves a pay raise.
Despite record-low approval ratings, House lawmakers Wednesday voted to accept an approximately $4,400 pay raise that will increase their salaries to almost $170,000.
…
Under the annual COLA, lawmakers automatically get a pay hike unless Congress votes to block it. Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., and Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., worked to smooth the way for the pay hike.
I propose we pay them say $2,000 multiplied by their average approval rating. So according to the Real Clear Politics average congressional ratings, which is currently 25% or 25 points, that would be approximately $50,000. UPDATE: To clarify, that would be 25 * $2,000 = $50,000.
What a fine example these numb-skulls are.
