Senator, I appreciate your response to my previous email in regards to Health Care.
I am a big believer in the following, Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed for a life time.
I am terribly concerned about how much the federal, state and localĀ government is creeping in to controlling more and more of our daily lives. Losing more and more of our Freedom and Liberty along the way.
I am with the considered opinion that the problems with the rising health care costs are due mostly to the laws and regulations currently in place put upon insurance providers.
We are not paying for health insurance, we are simply participating in a health care paying plan. If health insurance was provided on the same level playing field as auto insurance the results would be the same.
I would be able to provide my own health insurance based upon me and my conditions, credit rating, what I wanted covered, etc.. Instead, if I am employed I am forced to participate in a plan that is not portable. A plan that is not specific to me and my family. I am paying into a plan for the benefit of others. This is wrong. This is the governments doing.
If you truly want to fix health care, get the government out of it as much as possible, I know not entirely, their is place for government, but not as much as it is currently. Return to me my Freedom and Liberty to choose and provide for myself and my family.
Stop forcing me, through the over-reaching rule of law, to pay for the coverages of everyone else. Stop forcing me to pay for the sick lame, lazy, poor and others. Return that responsibility to the churches and charities that are better suited to handle this.
Most importantly return responsibility to the people and they will be responsible. The rest will be taken care of by institutions better suited to do so than government.
Unless I have not been clear, I amĀ very concerned with how much power and influence through taxes, laws and regulations the government has in and over my life.
I hope you would be as well.
All the best.
