‘Green’ BBC spends £5million flying directors around Britain

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

The BBC has spent almost £5million on flying its directors, staff and guests around Britain, it has been revealed.

Despite the corporation’s pledge to be more environmentally friendly, the licence-fee payer has funded almost 100 short-haul flights a day for BBC staff – a massive 68,000 plane trips over the past two years.

And BBC chiefs have been among the biggest culprits for making these journeys – despite an internal report stating that staff will be encouraged ‘to use rail rather than air wherever that is feasible’.

Gore takes cash for water campaign from chemical firm

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

Al Gore, the self-styled squeakiest-clean and deepest-green politician in American history, has some explaining to do this weekend. His environmental organisation has taken money to raise awareness about the need for clean water from a controversial chemicals company involved in the aftermath of one of the world's worst pollution disasters.

Dow Chemical, the US firm which now owns the leaking pesticides factory responsible for thousands of deaths in Bhopal, India, is sponsoring Life Earth events in 150 cities today. The event aims to raise money for clean water programmes. Research by environmental organisations has found dangerous levels of highly toxic chemicals in rivers, lakes and other water supplies close to several other factories owned by Dow and its subsidiaries in countries including the United States, Brazil and South Africa.

Clinton Returns to Washington, Needling Himself, Obama and the Press – Washington Wire

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

Mr. Clinton said he suggested to President Obama that he appear before the journalists assembled at the dinner anyway, to pitch his health bill again, but then added, in a reference to the senior status of journalists in the Gridiron Club, that he realized “they’re so old they won’t be helped by what’s in there.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, he noted he was speaking on the night before the start of spring, “otherwise known to Al Gore as proof of global warming.” Of the current vice president, he said: “Vice President Biden, God bless his mouth.”

NASA Heads Knew NASA Data Was Poor

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Email messages obtained by the Competitive Enterprise Institute via a Freedom of Information Act request reveal that the climate dataset of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) was considered — by the top climate scientists within NASA itself — to be inferior to the data maintained by the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit (CRU).

The NASA scientists also felt that NASA GISS data was inferior to the National Climate Data Center Global Historical Climate Network (NCDC GHCN) database.

U.N. climate panel faces major review

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

The world’s biggest scientific guns are being called in to mop up after a trickle of unsettling errors in the reports written by the U.N. climate panel.

The United Nations and the beleaguered Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said Wednesday that a Netherlands-based group of 15 national academies of science will study how the warming panel does its job.

UN’s climate link to hurricanes in doubt

Monday, March 1st, 2010

Research by hurricane scientists may force the UN’s climate panel to reconsider its claims that greenhouse gas emissions have caused an increase in the number of tropical storms.

The benchmark report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said that a worldwide increase in hurricane-force storms since 1970 was probably linked to global warming.

It followed some of the most damaging storms in history such as Hurricane Katrina, which hit New Orleans and Hurricane Dennis which hit Cuba, both in 2005.

Weather: Hottest January ever say climate experts

Friday, February 26th, 2010

CLIMATE scientists yesterday stunned Britons suffering the coldest winter for 30 years by claiming last month was the hottest January the world has ever seen.

The remarkable claim, based on global satellite data, follows Arctic temperatures that brought snow, ice and travel chaos to millions in the UK.

Bernie Sanders compares global warming skeptics those to who denied the threat of Nazism

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is comparing climate change skeptics to those who disregarded the Nazi threat in America in the 1930s, adding a strident rhetorical shot to the already volatile debate over climate change.

“It reminds me of an event that took place in this country and around the world in the late 1930s,” said Sanders, perhaps the most liberal member of the Senate, during a Senate hearing Tuesday. “During that period of Nazism and fascism’s growth-a real danger to this country and democratic countries around the world- there were people in this country and in the British parliament who said ‘don’t worry! Hitler’s not real! It’ll disappear!’”

Senator Barbara Boxer and EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson Throw IPCC Under the Bus

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

During the review of the Environmental Protection Agency budget in today’s Senate Environment and Public Works Committee hearing, both Senator Barbara Boxer — the chair of the committee — and EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson distanced themselves from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fourth Assessment Report (AR4).

Climate scientists withdraw journal claims of rising sea levels

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Scientists have been forced to withdraw a study on projected sea level rise due to global warming after finding mistakes that undermined the findings.

The study, published in 2009 in Nature Geoscience, one of the top journals in its field, confirmed the conclusions of the 2007 report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). It used data over the last 22,000 years to predict that sea level would rise by between 7cm and 82cm by the end of the century.

Top UN climate official resigning

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

Top U.N. climate change official Yvo de Boer told The Associated Press on Thursday that he was resigning after nearly four years, a period when governments struggled without success to agree on a new global warming deal.

His departure takes effect July 1, five months before 193 nations are due to reconvene in Mexico for another attempt to reach a binding worldwide accord on controlling greenhouse gases. De Boer’s resignation adds to the uncertainty that a full treaty can be finalized there.

Big Business Jumps Ship from the S.S. Climate Change

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Big business support began to crumble on Tuesday — and in a big way. In separate announcements, BP America, Conoco Phillips, and Caterpillar dropped out of the main lobbying group for cap and trade, the U.S. Climate Action Partnership (USCAP). BP sent a letter to its fellow coalition members, Conoco Phillips sent out a press release, and Caterpillar had its name taken off the USCAP website and then confirmed that it was dropping out when media inquiries were made.

A HISTORICAL OBSERVATION ON CLIMATEGATE

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Bellesiles, for those who don’t remember, was a historian at Emory who wrote a book making some, er, counterintuitive claims about guns in early America — in short, that they were much rarer than generally thought, and frequently owned and controlled by the government. Constitutional law scholars who expressed doubts about this were told to shut up by historians, who cited the importance of “peer review” as a guarantor of accuracy, and who wrapped themselves in claims of professional expertise.

Climategate U-turn

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Professor Jones told the BBC yesterday there was truth in the observations of colleagues that he lacked organisational skills, that his office was swamped with piles of paper and that his record keeping is ‘not as good as it should be’.

The data is crucial to the famous ‘hockey stick graph’ used by climate change advocates to support the theory.

Professor Jones also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon.

Europe ahead of America in ditching the bio-fuels boondoggle

Friday, February 12th, 2010

The European Union seems to be ahead of America when it comes to the issue of climate change. The nations’ of that “union” were early proponents of that particular myth. They gave vast subsidies to solar power producers in Germany and planned to eliminate all its nuclear reactors. They rewarded the biofuel industry with huge government subsidies and mandates. American liberals looked to Euro-elites for guidance. Now, Europe is leading the way towards the realization that the ideology that they have adopted is wrong.

Global Warming – Is There Anything It Can’t Do?

Friday, February 12th, 2010

But back in Washington, the global warming scare-monger crowd is singing a slightly different tune. Facing record snowfalls, Time is reporting: “Snowstorm: East Coast Blizzard Tied to Climate Change.” But do not confuse this headline with Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s column from two years ago claiming that global warming was causing “anemic winters” in the Washington region.

Climate-Change Debate Is Heating Up in Deep Freeze

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

Most climate scientists respond that the ferocious storms are consistent with forecasts that a heating planet will produce more frequent and more intense weather events.

But some independent climate experts say the blizzards in the Northeast no more prove that the planet is cooling than the lack of snow in Vancouver or the downpours in Southern California prove that it is warming.

Seems most climate scientists are idiots.

NOAA: Blizzard Rearranges Climate Change Announcement

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Turns out the release was planned prepared ahead of the snowstorm, which shut federal agencies today and forced its senders to hold a press conference by telephone instead of at the National Press Club.

It’s not the first time inclement weather has put a chill on official efforts to tackle climate change. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had to leave the Copenhagen summit early in December to get back to D.C. before the blizzard known as Snowpocalypse grounded all flights.

The great global warming collapse

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Just like global cooling of the ’70’s, this is looking more and more like it will soon all just go away.

In 2007, the most comprehensive report to date on global warming, issued by the respected United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, made a shocking claim: The Himalayan glaciers could melt away as soon as 2035.

But the claim was rubbish, and the world’s top glaciologists knew it. It was based not on rigorously peer-reviewed science but on an anecdotal report by the WWF itself. When its background came to light on the eve of Copenhagen, Rajendra Pachauri, the head of the IPCC, shrugged it off. But now, even leading scientists and environmental groups admit the IPCC is facing a crisis of credibility that makes the Climategate affair look like small change.

G-8 agrees to cap on climate temperatures

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009

The Group of Eight industrialized nations joined with developing countries in agreeing Wednesday that average global temperatures shouldn’t increase by more than 2 degrees Celsius in a significant new acknowledgement in the fight against global warming.

G-8 agrees to cap on climate temperatures – World environment- msnbc.com

What crap this is. The Group of Eight industrialized nations can’t do jack diddly about temperature increases and for them to say they can only makes them and those that believe them appear as what they are, fools!

Maybe if they stopped jetting around the world and spewing hot air into the environment, we would all be a lot better off.

Global Warming Small Miacles

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Mr Gore added: “I have to say the situation has not improved since I made the movie in 2006.

Well this is good news if you ask me. Maybe I should give the general public more credit for not falling completely for the bile that spews from Algore’s pie hole.

Here’s hoping that Algore’s campaign fails just as global cooling failed 30 years ago.

Apocalypse of Global Warming

Friday, April 18th, 2008

The day the Global Warming Alarmists went too far. The day the pendulum started to swing back to the center.

Apocalypse of Global Warming

Iwo Jima Veterans Blast Time’s ‘Special Environmental Issue’ Cover

It was on April 28, 1975, 33 years ago this month that Newsweek was sounding the alarm of Global Cooling.

There are ominous signs that the Earth’s weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production – with serious political implications for just about every nation on Earth. The drop in food output could begin quite soon, perhaps only 10 years from now. The regions destined to feel its impact are the great wheat-producing lands of Canada and the U.S.S.R. in the North, along with a number of marginally self-sufficient tropical areas – parts of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indochina and Indonesia – where the growing season is dependent upon the rains brought by the monsoon.

The evidence in support of these predictions has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it. In England, farmers have seen their growing season decline by about two weeks since 1950, with a resultant overall loss in grain production estimated at up to 100,000 tons annually. During the same time, the average temperature around the equator has risen by a fraction of a degree – a fraction that in some areas can mean drought and desolation. Last April, in the most devastating outbreak of tornadoes ever recorded, 148 twisters killed more than 300 people and caused half a billion dollars’ worth of damage in 13 U.S. states.

Fortunately for us all, the messiah for Global Warming is Algore (Al Gore) and the religion he is preaching is meeting its apocalypse.

Global Warming is a Hoax

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

Global Warming is a Hoax and it’s preachers of the global warming religion should be considered less than trust worthy.

Global temperatures ‘to decrease’

Oh, and Algore (All Gore) is trying to take over the world and should be stopped.

Why Al Gore Won’t Debate

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Algore won’t debate Global Warming because he can’t backup his bag of crap with facts. If he did he would be embarrassed.

Algore is a facists and he knows it. So do we.

Earth Hour 2008

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Tonight between 8 pm and 9 pm you local time, is Earth Hour. Because I consider Global Warming to be a fraud put over on the people of the world by communists, socialists and leftest liberals in general, that want to control the world and bring us all down to the same level, I will be turning on every goddamn light in my house.

That’s right! I will be turning on every light in my house. Every Television.  If I am feeling especially  frisky, I might even open the front door for awhile, let in the cold air and run the heating system until it warms back up.

So if anyone else out there feels the way I do, Turn it on, turn it up and let the kilowatts burn. Burn baby burn.

Global Warming is Cooling

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

I blame all of the hot air from Algore and other liberal left wing nut bags for this.

Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile — the list goes on and on.

No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA’s GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.

The Kennedy’s Shame

Friday, November 9th, 2007

No I am not referring to Teddy “The Swimmer” Kennedy’s checkered past. John F. Kennedy’s or Robert F. Kennedy’s womanizing. Or any of the other sordid affairs that make the Kennedy Klan a laughing stock in American History. Hey, everyones family has some skeletons in the closet. Theirs just happen to be very public.

The one that I am writing of today deals with the Kennedy’s wrong doing as it pertains to the Cape Wind Project. Teddy and Bobby Jr. along with a number of the rich elite friends have been doing everything in their power to distroy the man behind the project. These are the very men who complain and complain about the use of alternative energy just as long as it is not in their back yard. Literally!

The book about it all is here.

Shame on the Kennedy Family and all of their brood forever.

Paul Krugman Deranged

Monday, October 15th, 2007

Krugman thinks that just because conservatives don’t think Algore deserved the Peace Prize we are deranged or something. Sorry Krugman but the consensual fake science on global warming is not worthy of the prize. It has nothing to do with peace and nothing to do with science.

Just like global cooling of the seventies, global warming of this decade is nothing more than the progressives desire to get at more of America’s taxes. In all honesty Algore is probably a conservatives best ally in that he is starting lose all credibility. Hell, you can’t even tie the guy down anymore for an honest debate.

So I guess when we start freezing our asses again will be back on the global cooling kick again.

In any case Krugman is a fine representative for liberals. The more he writes the better it is for conservatives.

Gore Derangement Syndrome

Algore Defrauds Nobel

Friday, October 12th, 2007

Algore today defrauded the Nobel Peace Prize Filks into giving him the award. This is hardly a surprise in that they have given it to less recipients in the past.

ScrappleFace has the full story. Giving it the seriousness it deserves.

Although former Vice President Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize this week for his work as a global-warming performance artist, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled early today that President George Bush would receive the gold medal, the diploma and the $750,000.

Here is a take on it from Nobelprize.org that sounds more like a joke.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2007 is to be shared, in two equal parts, between the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Albert Arnold (Al) Gore Jr. for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.

Bizzaro-world indeed.

UPDATE: Damian Thompson of the Telegraph asks:  What has Al Gore done for world peace?

So Al Gore is the joint winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Admittedly, he has to share it with the United Nations’ climate change panel – but, even so, I think we need to declare an international smugness alert.

The former US Vice-President has already taken over from Michael Moore as the most sanctimonious lardbutt Yank on the planet. Can you imagine what he’ll be like now that the Norwegian Nobel committee has given him the prize?

Frank J. suggests a name change more appropriate of the award.
