Sams Club is the Best
Tuesday, December 11th, 2007…but this years Santa Clause at my local Club was the epitome of Mall Santa’s. Mall store Santa’s were better.
I only accept authentic American Santa’s for my boys photos.

…not only to the country at large, but to themselves.
Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have to be competing for the most incompetent leaders of the legislature in history.
My youngest son has been saying “dogs eating chicken” for sometime now and I did not know why or where he picked that up. Then they other day I finally found out why. It was a Dairy Queen commercial of a guy sitting at a table feeding his dog chicken strips. The dog insists on dipping his strip in the sauce and the owner relents.
So that is where he ended up getting the phrase, “dogs eating chicken”.
Kids say the darnedest things as they say.
Had a very nice time with the oldest son at school this morning. The PTA Dad’s Club has Donuts with Dad’s every year and this is the second year we attended.
As Jonah Goldberg made it known earlier today that he was going to be on Dennis Miller 34 on the first hour today. I made a point of tuning in.
Of course Dennis has a good game when it comes to gab, Jonah was equally as funny and witty.
Both of them used fancy words. Quick with the analogies. Made for good radio.
Oh, and just in the event that Sal happens to read this post. Love “Journeyman“! Good stuff. Thank your wife.
I have been failing my blogging duties lately. My eldest son just started basketball and practices have been three nights a week. Fortunately next week it will be down to two nights after this weekends first games.
I have to figure out a way of doing blogging in the morning but I don’t feel like waking up so early.
I give thanks for another great year. Better than the last and getting better.
UPDATE: Please read the comment left by a passer by. I should probably be offended but I am not sure.
What good are unions for anymore? I realize the need for them in the beginning. It was during a time in which federal labor laws were non existent and employers were doing a horrible job in human relations.
But that is not the case anymore. We have labor laws. We have the EEOC. Hell we have a Labor Department.
So what good are they for today?
Currently I see them as nothing more than a very large voting block for the democrat party. Raising big bucks through forced union dues. I also see them as their own worst enemy. Restricting companies competitiveness in the market is not a good thing in a free market. Refusing to change with the times will result in unions going the way of the dinosaur.
Big companies that are forced to deal with them are finding ways of not dealing with them. Relocating jobs. Using efficiency experts to figure out how to get along without more union members. Automation to rid themselves of even more. It is very likely that unions will eventually negotiate themselves out of existence.
Last question. Will that be a bad thing?
Now the the Supreme Court has decided to take up the D.C. Handgun Ban, expect a full on assault from the liberal leftest media here at home and abroad. They will use the power of their media positions to mislead, spin, misuse facts and figures and when neccessary, just outright lie to advance the media and the liberal progressive lefts agenda to ban guns all together.
Of course as anyone with half a brain knows, trying to ban weapons such as hand guns is a futile effort in America. In that it only takes the weapons out of the hands of innocent, law abiding citizens. Leaving them defenseless to the criminal elements that choose not to obey the law that bans the hand guns.
Now here is the relevant part of the Second Amendment and the reason the Left will lose.
A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
Now to break it out in it’s relevant parts:
As many nut jobs on the left try and get away with, that the Second Amendment was only intended for State Militias, this is not true. It not only allows for a well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free state, but it also allows for the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Lastly and very clearly it states that these rights shall not be infringed.
Now if for some reason Hell freezes over, pigs begin to fly and cows start jumping over the moon and the Supreme Court allows D.C. to continue to ban hand guns, then I would expect a revolution, the likes that have never been seen, well since the last Revolution of 1812.
Fortunately got it fixed in a hurry by Garage Doors Of Indianapolis.
Well new to us at least. An ‘05 Hyundai Accent.
The ‘95 Ford Aerostar was approaching it’s last legs. The AC just recently went out and it has never had any good heat especially in below freezing temps.
So I made it for a couple of years without a car note. Now I have another. Oh well, the boys will just have to go without a meal or two. We should be good.
No matter how many time the democrats say the were elected on a mandate to end the Iraq War it does not make it true. They were not. If you care to take the time and look you will notice that the majority of those democrats elected to bring them to the majority were conservative.
Better pundits were speaking and writing not long ago at how bad the Republicans were in the majority. Not knowing how much worse the democrats could be.
So if Republicans maintain the White House and regain that majority in one or both of the Houses it will be the democrats they have to thank for that. Because the democrats screwed the damn place up worse than they did. It will of course be nothing to be proud of. The voters were only choosing between the better of the two bad choices.
It will be sad if it comes to that.
This is all fine but it is a little irritating that this thing can’t take off in bad weather and that so many things can screw up the entire mess.
They really need to start building a better space craft if this whole space thing is ever going to work.
Thanks for the private industry that is making it better and easier.
What a wonderful day it was today. It could not have been better.
We were at the soccer fields at 10 am this morning for my son’s first of three play off games. We finished the third game at about five. Traveling back home in between games for lunch and stuff. The awards ceremony followed the last game and he could not have been happier to get his trophy. Even though they did not manage to win even one of the three games.
My son did manage to provide an assist that lead to one of what I think were only three points scored over all three games.
We ended the day by traveling over to the west side for a friends party.
It was truly a great day.
