I Decided 2006

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

I voted for every Republican except Dick Lugar. I wrote in Rush Limbaugh instead. I voted for every Republican judge. For the Yes/No question on judges keeping their jobs, I said no.

Showing my ID and signing my name all went rather smoothly.

As I was voting some poor woman was being given the business because addresses on this and that did not match. Of course she came across with the story I have always been voting here, blah blah blah.

Even though it is overcast outside and rainy a bit, the sun is shinning in my heart bacause I voted today.

Instapundit Pile On

Friday, June 23rd, 2006

It seems to have become the thing to do this week. The poor guy is getting the business from one end of the spectrum to the other.

So I thought I would join in on the action.

If reference to this post and that chair he is sitting in.

I suppose selling out to the right (hard work has it’s reward’s) and the left (your hard work should reward everyone) or being a libertarian (that’s cool, now get out of my face before I shoot you) has its advantages.

Does he really have to flaunt his good fortune though? Also, now that he has let a few million people know of this fantastic chair, when will a second one show up for Dr. Helen? I can only imagine soon.

Hotel Cave Stay 5 Dollars

Wednesday, October 12th, 2005

The next time I am in Idaho, well if I ever make it to Idaho. I am going to give this the once-over. It is pretty cheap at five dollars a night and sounds rather interesting.

An 89-year-old retired construction worker this month began advertising cave stays in east-central Idaho for $5 per night, or $25 a month.

Richard Zimmerman, also known as “Dugout Dick,” said his dwellings can double as bomb shelters and serve as mining sites for people who bring their own picks.

Sixteen Children and Counting

Imagine you Mothers out there being pregnant half your life and you are only 39.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Michelle Duggar just delivered her 16th child, and she’s already thinking about doing it again.

Johannah Faith Duggar was born at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday and weighed 7 pounds, 6.5 ounces.

Read the whole thing.

Ashes to Diamonds

Sunday, October 9th, 2005

In this story from AFP, a company has figured out how to turn your ashes after cremation into valuable gems.

CHICAGO (AFP) - Everyone said she was a gem. Now, just eight ounces of cremated remains is all it takes to turn your mother into a diamond.

In fact, there’s enough carbon in those ashes to make about 20 gems. And there will still be several pounds of ashes left over to display on the mantelpiece.

So this just goes to prove what I have been telling my wife. I am probably worth more to her dead than alive. Even more now as it turns out. I certainly hope she doesn’t come across this story anytime soon.
