This just makes me mad. I refuse to support a party much less a candidate that refuses to support me. To say it more appropriately, I did not stop supporting the GOP, the GOP stopped supporting me.

Notice to any other party out there, if you support the conservative ideals that Reagan was all about, drop me a line. I am a conservative without a party.

Gov. Daniels: People need to get over Reagan, already

“Nostalgia is fine and Reagan’s economic plan was good,” Daniels said. “But we need to look towards the future rather than staying in the past.” Daniels added that the GOP needed to work on uniting behind Sen. John McCain instead of constantly comparing the Arizona senator with the Gipper.

If I had had my choice in this race, McCain would not have even been on my list of options.

He has still not secured my vote for November and it does not look good that he ever will. I am still planning on writing in Fred Thompson.

Well I could simply right in Fred Thompson out of support for what could have been.

Ron Paul does not have a snow bals chance in hell.

Huckabee used to be my second choice, but then I started to learn more about him. Needless to say that was the end of the idea.

McCain can go to hell. If I wanted a democrat as President, I would vote for Obama.

So, that leaves me with Romney. I guess I will through my massive support behind him. Unfortunately for him that was the same support I through behind Fred and look at where he’s at now.

Oh well, just my luck. Here’s hoping Romney makes it to the nomination.

Today, Fred Thompson tendered his resignation from the race for the President of the United States.

This day is truly a sad day for and for America. Fred offered what we conservatives desired in a president but unfortunately he was unable to sell a majority on the idea.

We often in America get what we ask for and more often pass up what we really need. That is what makes me sad.

Even with what is looking like a good 3rd place finish tonight in South Carolina. I am still with Fred Thompson.

He should not as some of the pundits suggest, be getting out of the race. The race has just started and there is still a lot of road to cover.

Now if others would simply follow his lead and do the right thing by supporting the only conservative in the race for the Republican nomination, this could interesting.

UPDATE: Here’s an interesting video of an actual push poll call received.

With real conservatives and republicans going to the polls this weekend in South Carolina, we should finally find out the result all of the hard work that Fred has put into the state. I am a firm believer in his campaign. I also believe that he is going to need to finish at least 2nd to move on and finish 1st to get the need infusion of cash to take his campaign to the finish.

A good 1st or 2nd place finish would also ensure that he get some air time on the news shows and more importantly from Rush Limbaugh. I don’t think Rush mentioned him once today. Trust me, I was listening the whole 3 hours waiting for Rush to mention him. Fred has to give Rush and the MSM a good reason to get the air time. That will of course take winning.

The flip side of getting Rush to mention Fred, is that he is losing and I certainly don’t won’t that.

Here’s hoping and praying that people come to realize real soon that Fred Thompson is the only conservative running.

Well considering the great show Fred made  at the Fox News debate last night it seems appropriate that Human Events comes out and endorses Fred Thompson for the next President of the United States.

Fred’s current fund raiser stands at $652K, surpassing the $540K goal set. They of course have upped the anty and moved it up to $750K. If you have not already consider supporting Fred start by donating today. If you have, think about making another.

Well that certainly seems to be the consensuses of all of the live blogs I read tonight.

Fred also seems to have met the goal at the gas pump with $545K at this moment.

You can still contribute at this moment. I am sure they would not mind going over the stated amount.

Well as of this post, the Gas Pump is at $505K getting closer to his $540K goal in his latest fund raiser.

If you are a conservative, with conservative values, then Fred is the only candidate that holds true to what Regan held true himself.

Well this is something to cheer about. At least for the moment. Gallup has Fred Thompson ahead of Romney by 3 points in the national survey.

For me this is tempered good news. Hoping that it is the beginning of a trend. Unfortunately we will have to wait to see if it becomes a trend.

Well it seems that Robert Novak might have a clue as to where.

Published reports that Fred Thompson soon will withdraw from the Republican presidential contest and endorse Sen. John McCain have been traced in part to Mitt Romney’s campaign, trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson.

If this is the case, it would be nothing unusual. If you can’t beat them far and square, some candidates resort to knife in the back tactics like this.

This of course would not be the first time the Politico was involved in shady reporting for the sake of politics.

Fred Thompson is looking for support to take his message to South Carolina.

If you are like me and would like a return to true conservatism, not just to the Republican Party, but to the country I am sure we both love, consider supporting Fred Thompson. Go to his web site and read, listen and watch what he has to say.

Now it is just me saying, but I think Rush Limbaugh is secretly pulling for Fred Thompson, just not ready to say so. I think Fred Thompson has a great appreciation for Ronald Regan and is the closet viable candidate we have running, that will be true to what conservatives hold dear.
