Temporary Support for Rudy

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

Now Rudy is not my ideal candidate, but neither is Romney. Bob Krumm has convinced me that it might be worth supporting Rudy at least through the Florida Primary.

I think a brokered convention would be a good thing to see happen.

Kerry Gives Obama The Kiss of Death

Thursday, January 10th, 2008

John Kerry that is. The Loser of 2004 endorses Obama.

If Obama is smart, he would ask Kerry to take it back.

National Review Prematurely Endorses

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

What must it feel like to endorse a candidate for President that will probably end up not getting the nomination. Well maybe the folks at National Review will let us know when Mitt Romney fails to make it to the race in the general elections.

I have felt for some time now that many of the Washington political writers and pundits seem to be really out of touch with the American voter. It is really the voter that decides these things when it comes down to it. The media is simply reporting on what is happening and have very little effect on what will happen.

No one two or three weeks ago was talking about what eventually caused Huckabee’s surge in the polls just to prove the point.

In the end, it is not the polls and the media that determine who’s on top and who’s not. It is the candidate connecting or not with the voter that makes the difference. The media simply reports whats happening on the ground a day late and a dollar short.

Just like it is good to have a health dose of distrust for the government. I think the same thing goes for the news factories.

CNN/You Tube Debate

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Still to early, still don’t care and did not watch. That will all change of course after the first of the year.

I meant to mention this back on Wednesday when it happened, but did not.

As it turns out, CNN did such a bad job with the  planted questions they knew nothing about, it might be the last You Tube debate ever.  Especially where idiotic people are allowed to be heard. It might just be for the best.

Hillary Man Handles Wolf

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Could this be the beginning of the “Dean Scream” for Hillary?

I hope not. Hillary is the best chance for Republicans come next November.

Indianapolis Mayoral Results

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

UPDATE: 10:42 PM - Well it seems that everyone is reporting that Greg Ballard is the next Mayor of Indianapolis along with a majority on the City/County Council. Yippee!!!  Here’s to better days in the future. Now if the national elections goes as well for Republicans, it will be a good thing. That’s all folks!

UPDATE: 10:31 PM - Well back at 51% of the vote with 847 of 914 precincts reporting and with the Indy Star reporting that Peterson has conceded to Ballard, this almost makes it official. Still a chance of Peterson pulling an Algore. I am feeling pretty better at the moment. Some are saying that this could turn out to be the biggest upset since Richard Lugar became the first Republican mayor of the city in 20 years, and ushered in a 32-year era of Republican rule in Marion County. Here’s hoping. Lord knows the democrats have been holding the city back long enough.

UPDATE: 10:03 PM - Feeling better now. Ballard back up to 52% with 69,141 votes, 781 out of 914 precincts reporting. I also found this guy with a report on the elections and this guy has been live blogging it. I guess I have to, but for different reasons.

UPDATE: 9:35 PM - OK, now at 50% with  62,825 votes. Worry and concern is starting to creep in. I am going to hold strong for now.

UPDATE: 9:15 PM - Greg Ballard is still at 52% with 58,168 votes. The Indy Star appears to be coming around to the reality that Peterson may not be coming back for a third term. I am sure they are disappointed, in that all of the hard work they put in, might be going in vain.

UPDATE: 8:57 PM - Greg Ballard at 52% with 54,059 votes. From other races of interest it seems the color Blue is turning to Red. At this point it appears the majority of the City/County Council will be handed to Republicans as well. Oh my, this is really starting to give me hope. With reservations.

UPDATE: 8:43 PM - Advance Indiana seems to be announcing that Greg Ballard along with other Republicans are sweeping into office. Here’s hoping they are right.

UPDATE: 8:32 PM - Greg Ballard at 53%. I am starting to garner hope. But, I still have the disappoint that was Julia Carson being reelected to the House. Man was I sad about that.

UPDATE: 8:15 PM - OK, now 50% of the precincts are reporting and Greg Ballard is still ahead. I will forgive myself for starting to get excited.

UPDATE: 8:10 PM - Yes it is still early. But I have to say I like seeing Greg Ballard is still on top. Here’s hoping it continues.

Well even though these are early results, it is certainly nice to see Greg Ballard in the lead. Let’s hope it stays that way and he becomes the Mayor of Indianapolis.

Precincts Reporting: 847 of 914

  Candidate       Total
W Greg Ballard  R 75,819 51%
  Bart Peterson (i) D 70,713 47%
  Fred Peterson  L 3,442 2%
  John Plemmons  I 63 0%

I Voted for Greg Ballard

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

Well, I did my part. I voted the Republican Ticket.

Here’s hoping they all get the big win later tonight. I will be watching.

Greg Ballard for Mayor

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Hey, I saw my first Greg Ballard for Mayor today. Good thing and good timing. It is really only the last few days that matter and the majority really start paying attention. All of the damn ads that Peterson has been running have just been a Gold Mine for TV, Radio and Print.

I also saw some good bumper stickers today for Greg Ballard and against Peterson and the tax increases because of him. It indeed made my smile to know that I am not the only one feeling like Peterson needs to go.

I received an email today promoting Greg Ballard and asking to go to his web site to volunteer to man phone banks to get the word out this weekend. I wish I could do it, but my two tax credits come first.

democrats Debate

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

…and I don’t care. Hell, I don’t even care about the Republicans debate. It’s too damn early for this crap.

Wake me up when it’s ‘08.

A Pitched Debate: Clinton Hears It From Her Rivals

democrats: Republicans Best Hope

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

No matter how many time the democrats say the were elected on a mandate to end the Iraq War it does not make it true. They were not. If you care to take the time and look you will notice that the majority of those democrats elected to bring them to the majority were conservative.

Better pundits were speaking and writing not long ago at how bad the Republicans were in the majority. Not knowing how much worse the democrats could be.

So if Republicans maintain the White House and regain that majority in one or both of the Houses it will be the democrats they have to thank for that. Because the democrats screwed the damn place up worse than they did. It will of course be nothing to be proud of. The voters were only choosing between the better of the two bad choices.

It will be sad if it comes to that.

Bart Peterson’s Tax Increase

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

This past Friday was the first Friday that the Bart Peterson Tax Increase for Emergency Services for areas that don’t have the tax base to support it, so increase the tax on everyone in Marion County to pay for it, because Bart Peterson is a democrat and does not know how to cut spending, went into effect. I feel quite safe and as far as I am concerned not in need of this extra service. But I certainly noticed a significant portion of my paycheck missing because of this increase.

As long as a democrat is Mayor I am sure I will never see that portion of my pay check again. That is why it is so important that we elect Greg Ballard as Mayor this November 6th and get Bart Peterson out of office.

Oh in the event that you came across this post for whatever reason, I am pissed because Bart Peterson raised the Marion County Tax from 1% to 1.65% and I want him out of office. Thanks for stopping by. Come back anytime.

If you would like to read a better post than this on the subject, go here.

Good News for Greg Ballard

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Well if the poll from the Indy Star is any indication, and I have my doubts, we just might have a horse race on our hands.

I think it is time for a change. Bart Peterson needs to be put out to pasture, and Greg Ballard is a nice fresh horse to put in the race.

Vote Greg Ballard for Indianapolis Mayor November 6th.

I am against Bart Peterson

Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

I don’t like him. I don’t trust him. He has raised taxes. He does not take criticism. He is a typical liberal democrat and it is time for him to go.

I will be voting for and supporting Greg Ballard along with Hoosiers for Fair Taxation.
