Haiti After the Quake – Before

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

Click here to see an up to date satellite image of Haiti after the Quake. I have taken the liberty of capturing an image from Google Earth before the quake.

I drew a line from the Presidential Palace to what I assume is a Catholic Church. Looking at the image over at Belmont Club and the church in this image and the surrounding structures, the damage is certainly dramatic and devistating.

Khamenei tells Mousavi to toe the line over election or be cast out – Times Online

The moderate Iranian leader who says that he was robbed of victory in last week’s presidential election faces a fateful choice today: support the regime or be cast out.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, has told Mir Hossein Mousavi to stand beside him as he uses Friday prayers at Tehran University to call for national unity. An army of Basiji — Islamic volunteer militiamen — is also expected to be bussed in to support the Supreme Leader.

Drudge Report for Shame

Friday, February 29th, 2008

In ref. to The Drudge Report revealing for all the world to know, that Prince Harry was serving in a combat role in Afghanistan.

After reading this post via this post I have to agree that it was not good for Drudge to have used his great reach to expose such a secret.

It would be one thing for Drudge to have done this if the Prince were in a rehab center, but he was serving in combat. Not only did this put the Prince in danger but all of the troops he was serving with.

So maybe next time, Drudge could be a little more considerate.

Pakistan Votes

I have always been a big fan of Musharraf. I always thought he was doing a job of protecting a country that needed him in a time of great challenges for his country. Sadly it put him in a position that allowed others to paint him as a dictator.

Bush Outlasts Castro In Office

Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

This was kind of cool to hear today: Fidel Castro retires

It is nice to see the bastard go. Some even think he’s been dead for time. I am just happy the Bush outlasted the S.O.B. in office.

Babalu Blog has all the fascinating facts about Fidel’s rein of terror.

Fossil Ahmadinejad

Monday, December 3rd, 2007

I found this photo mixed in with a bunch of photos on Yahoo about dinosaurs and other fossils. I guess the reason it was there was because of the caption.

In this file photo Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad waves as he leaves the presidential palace in La Paz September 27, 2007. Ahmadinejad is visiting Bolivia to tighten diplomatic ties and sign energy and industrial aid agreements. Ahmadinejad said on Saturday he believed the market price of fossil energy, which includes oil, was still below its ‘real price’, Iranian media reported. (David Mercado/Reuters)

I think it more appropriate that he showed up because he and his Muslim extremists are fossils in the living world of today.

Teddy Bear Teacher In Danger

Friday, November 30th, 2007

It is amazing to me and I assume a few others how ridiculous this whole mess over the naming of a teddy bear after what’s his name, causing such a fervor. We have Sudanese radical Muslims rioting in the street calling for this teacher to be executed.

I have read the condimnations from Muslim clerics, officials or whatever but I have to say I take it with a grian of salt. I just can’t take them seriously. I think most of it comes from them being expected to say something. I will be more impressed with actions. I have been burned time and again with CIAR consistently denouncing most crap from these radicals with exceptions and a big ol’ “BUT” in the middle.

Until supposed peace living Muslims separate themselves from the crazies, I am just not going to buy it. I have seen too much evidence of Muslims saying one thing to appease non Muslims and turn around and tell another story to Muslims.

Musharraf imposes emergency rule

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

Well I have always liked the guy and defended him for his actions to this point and still do. He has to contend with a lot a crazies in his country and if he feels that this was the best thing to do to keep his country from sliding off into the abyss. Then may God be with him and his nuclear arsenal.
